On a radiant Saturday afternoon, the Tena Link journey officially began with an exclusive founders’ summit at the Black Lion Hospital, College of Health Sciences, Addis Ababa University. Gathering all of our visionary shareholders for the first time, this event marked the birth of a movement to revolutionize sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) across Ethiopia.

On May 18, 2025, our team at Tena Link took a transformative step in aligning faith and digital health. We held an in-depth discussion with Deacon Alex Ane, a respected preacher and teacher from the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (EOTC). The day was filled not only with rigorous dialogue but also with meaningful connection, shared values, and Ethiopian hospitality—complete with coffee, tea, and heartfelt conversation.

On December 12, 2024, Tena Link took first place at a major innovation pitch competition at Black Lion Hospital, Addis Ababa University College of Health Sciences. Competing among Ethiopia’s top health-tech startups, our team impressed judges and attendees with a vision for a culturally sensitive, faith-aware, and tech-driven SRH platform. This victory is a testament to youth-led innovation, interfaith collaboration, and our commitment to empowering women and girls with trusted, inclusive health solutions.
