We bridge the gap between tradition, culture, and technology by delivering a comprehensive, stigma-free digital ecosystemthat respectslocalbeliefs while providing evidence-based SRH information. Our flagship innovation—a culturallyadaptive, multilingual period and health-tracking app—empowers women and girls to manage their healthwithconfidence and privacy. By seamlessly integrating telemedicine, interactive learning modules, community forums, andfaith-sensitive content, we tackle the deep-rooted barriers of misinformation, taboos, and limited serviceaccess.More than an app, Tena Link is a movement—a safe, inclusive, data-informed platformadvancingSustainable Development Goals, promoting gender equity, and reshaping the future of healthfor millionsof underserved women across Ethiopia and the continent. Here, technology meets empathy, datameetsdignity, and tradition, religion, and science converge to empower every woman’s health journey Though still a growing startup, Tena Link goes beyond serving individual users: we are buildingaglobalresearch hub that brings together development thinkers and scholars from the Global South andNorth.

By convening experts across disciplines—health sciences, software engineering, economics, policy, and more—we catalyze truly interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary collaborations on sustainable developmentchallenges. At the heart of our mission is applied sustainability research: Tena Link designs and executes project-basedstudies under clearly defined thematic clusters (e.g., maternal health systems, digital inclusion, etc.). Eachinitiative pairs our in-house team with strategic partners—NGOs, universities, government agencies, andfunders—to mobilize resources, transfer and adopt best practices, and translate insights into real-worldimpact. Central to our approach is policy-informing research: every study we conduct is shaped to generateactionable recommendations, briefings, and toolkits that inform decision-makers at local, national, andinternational levels.
