Bridging Faith and Health: A Conversation Rooted in Wisdom and Care

June 26, 2025 | Protestant Voices & SRHR Collaboration

Faith and Health Dialogue

At the intersection of faith and health, Tena Link continues to build bridges that uplift communities and ensure inclusive, respectful SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) content—rooted in both lived values and evidence.

On June 26, we had the privilege of holding a profound and inspiring discussion with two of our dedicated content developers: Pastor Mulatua Yohannes, a PhD candidate at Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology and committed Protestant preacher, and Dr. Beakal, a medical doctor and protestant adolescent teacher. Together, they are helping shape Tena Link’s SRHR content from a Protestant-informed perspective, ensuring that messages are not only scientifically sound, but also spiritually and culturally resonant.

They explored how faith-based values and rights-based health education can align to support young people and families with empathy and clarity. The atmosphere was warm, respectful, and hopeful. Over traditional coffee and open-hearted dialogue, we were reminded of the transformative power of collaboration—how women of faith and science can co-create messages that speak to both the heart and the mind.

We are deeply grateful to Pastor Mulatua and Dr. Beakal for their wisdom, courage, and leadership in making Tena Link a platform that celebrates faith, knowledge, and youth-centered transformation.

Stay tuned as the insights from this collaboration continue to shape content that is as meaningful as it is impactful.
